Lies Women Believe

Lies Women Believe exposes the areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women-lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage and family, emotions, and more. This book, read along with Scripture, then sheds light on how we can be delivered from bondage and set free to walk in God’s grace, forgiveness, and abundant life.

Lies Women Believe will be offered at three different times:

Wednesday mornings 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (childcare potentially provided if needed). Led by Marilyn Hintz.

Wednesday afternoons 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Led by Marilyn Hintz.

Wednesday evenings 6:30 p.m. (childcare available) Led by Tracy Tiede and Dawn Hall.

These studies will be held in the DBC conference room beginning on 9/5. The cost is $19 including a book and study guide.

In His Image

By exploring ten characteristics of who God is – holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise-this book helps us understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God’s own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow his will and are conformed to his image.

In His Image will be offered at two different times and locations:

Saturday mornings, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the DBC conference room, starting 9/17. Led by Nancy Clark.

Thursday mornings, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at a church member’s home (call the church office for details), starting 9/6. Led by Gerry Whinnery.

Cost $10 for a book.

Knowing God by Name

This study focuses on 35 Hebrew names of God that describe His character, His relationships, and His purpose. As you learn the significance of each ancient word, you’ll be awestruck by the Lord’s magnificence and your heart will be compelled to worship and praise Him.

Knowing God by Name will be offered at one time and location:

Parenting Workshop

Parenting is hard work, but what could be more important in your life than being one of God’s tools to form a human soul? You’re invited to join us as we work through Dr. Paul David Tripp’s brand new workshop sharing four principles that can radically change the way you raise your children.

When: Saturday, September 8, 2018 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The workshop will be split into 4 sessions each focusing on one of Dr. Paul Tripp’s principles:

Session #1 – Calling: Nothing is more important in your life than being one of God’s tools to form a human soul.

Session #2 – Identity: If you are not resting as a parent in your identity in Christ, you will look for identity in your children.

Session #3 – Authority: One of the foundational heart issues in the life of every child is authority. Teaching and modeling the protective beauty of authority is one of the foundations of good parenting.

Session #4 – False Gods: You are parenting a worshiper, so it’s important to remember that what rules your child’s heart will control his behavior.
