Men’s Ministry

The mission of Men’s Ministry is to offer practical help to men age high school through adult, so that each will be equipped to counter the cultural trends of our day and to live as real men, with a solid understanding of authentic manhood and the practical knowledge of how to live it.

Study of the Bible is a core component of this ministry.  Weekly studies using a format of instruction followed by small group discussion provides both an effective means of teaching, development of meaningful friendships, and encouragement and accountability.  In order to accommodate the demanding schedules that many men face, these study groups meet at various times throughout the week.

We recognize that relaxation and fellowship are also critically important to our mission.  Therefore throughout the year we schedule activities which can be enjoyed by men and which can be enjoyed by their sons as well.  We are intentional in providing family friendly fellowship opportunities.  In addition we provide service opportunities in which we serve the community and other members of our church family.  These service opportunities are also structured so that fathers and their sons can serve together.

Authentic manhood is first lived out in the relationships centered in the home.  Therefore all aspects of the Men’s Ministry are evaluated on the basis of how they will assist those who are married, those who are fathers, and those who one day may be married.  We desire to assist men to be biblical husbands and fathers, believing that the home is both the core social unit and that effectiveness at home is one criteria for leadership in the church.

Women’s Ministry

As women of Delaware Bible Church, we will have a Christ-centered ministry in Equipping, Encouraging, Evangelizing each other and women in our community with the truths of Scripture.

We offer Bible studies, events, and workshops that are relevant and Biblically based to meet the needs of the women.

“My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”  Colossians 2:2-3
