Lies Women Believe

Lies Women Believe exposes the areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women-lies about God, sin, priorities, marriage and family, emotions, and more. This book, read along with Scripture, then sheds light on how we can be delivered from bondage and set free to walk in God’s grace, forgiveness, and abundant life.

Lies Women Believe will be offered at three different times:

Wednesday mornings 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (childcare potentially provided if needed). Led by Marilyn Hintz.

Wednesday afternoons 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Led by Marilyn Hintz.

Wednesday evenings 6:30 p.m. (childcare available) Led by Tracy Tiede and Dawn Hall.

These studies will be held in the DBC conference room beginning on 9/5. The cost is $19 including a book and study guide.

In His Image

By exploring ten characteristics of who God is – holy, loving, just, good, merciful, gracious, faithful, patient, truthful, and wise-this book helps us understand who God intends for us to be. Through Christ, the perfect reflection of the image of God, we will discover how God’s own attributes impact how we live, leading to freedom and purpose as we follow his will and are conformed to his image.

In His Image will be offered at two different times and locations:

Saturday mornings, 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the DBC conference room, starting 9/17. Led by Nancy Clark.

Thursday mornings, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at a church member’s home (call the church office for details), starting 9/6. Led by Gerry Whinnery.

Cost $10 for a book.

Knowing God by Name

This study focuses on 35 Hebrew names of God that describe His character, His relationships, and His purpose. As you learn the significance of each ancient word, you’ll be awestruck by the Lord’s magnificence and your heart will be compelled to worship and praise Him.

Knowing God by Name will be offered at one time and location:

Monday evenings at a church member’s home (call the church office for details), starting 9/10. Led by Wendy Hildreth and Shasta McKee.

Super Bowl Sunday Outreach

The Super Bowl is an annual event where last year, 102,000,000 people tuned in to watch the event with their friends and family. This year, we’re hoping to capitalize on the opportunity to share the love of Christ with others during this event. Here’s what we plan on doing:

DBC will not hold an evening service on the night of the Super Bowl (2/7/21). (All morning service details and plans will remain on their normal schedule. The evening Communion service typically held on the first Sunday evening of the month will move to 1/31/21.)
Those who feel comfortable are encouraged to invite a friend, neighbor or family over to watch the game with them (while keeping all government mandates of having less than 10 people in your home in place). Whoever you invite that you invite should include a person that you know does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
During halftime, those who have invited a friend over are encouraged to turn off the halftime show and instead turn on a Gospel centered video that you can sign up to receive byCLICKING HERE.
The video’s theme will match the game and will feature testimonies of prominent Christian athletes.
Discussion questions will be provided that can be used but all are encouraged to let those that they invite over know that you plan on watching a Christian based video during halftime.
Those who do not feel comfortable inviting a friend over right now but would still like access to the video are encouraged to still SIGN UP to receive the video.
